Designing and manufacturing complete
systems with an end-to-end approach requires, besides a set of focused technical skills, a
system-oriented vision, and the ability to manage and put together
complementary competences from various fields. It is unpractical, or even impossible, to
put together all necessary elements within a single organization. For this reason, one of
our qualfying abilites is the capability to work together with qualified partners with
complementary skills, that sometimes may be quite different from our own ones.
For the above reasons, we at ISE consider
our external collaborators and partners as a fundamental asset of our Organization, and we
maintain close and constant relationships with our business partners.
If our best attention is devoted to our
customers and clients, which drive all the efforts directed to the improvement of our set
of products and services, our ambition is always directed at establishing effective and
durable relationships with all our partners, including suppliers, service providers, and
subcontractors.
When working with our Customers, our efforts are always directed at understanding at best
their overall needs, in such a way to support their objectives in the best possible way.
For this reason, we like to consider ourselves as "Partners" more than as simple
"Suppliers".
When working with our partners, our commitment is always to grow a common experience and
knowledge, in such a way to improve our overall ability to face the global Market
challenges.

S.p.A. (WASS)
WASS is a Leader at an International level in Design and Manufacture of Underwater and
Marine Warfare Equipment and Systems.
On behalf of WASS, ISE designs and
manufactures integrated solutions of microprocessor equipment and systems for real-time
control of underwater weapon systems and countermeasures. The highest design and
manufacturing standards are used, to ensure the highest reliability and suitability for
employment in harsh environment for extremely demanding application. System software is
designed, tested and documented according to structured criteria, to ensure highest
reliability and easy upgradability and maintainability..

(Finmeccanica Group). AnsaldoBreda is the leading Italian Manufacturer of Rolling
Stock, and a well known provider of Complete Advanced Transportation Systems. AnsaldoBreda
is one of the world global players in this field.
ISE has been working with Breda Ferroviaria since its incorporation, and after the merging
between Breda S.p.A. and Ansaldo, ISE has kept its strategical position of supplier of
custom Microprocessor equipment for Diagnostic, Communication and on board Plant
Automation for Rolling Stock.

Some of our Industrial
Partners
Year after year, ISE has established a series of
collaborations with industrial partners, aimed at the development of innovative products
and services with a high content of electronic and information technologies.
We list hereunder some of the most significant partnerships established in this respect:
- Soatec srl.
SOATEC srl is an academic spin off of the Department
of Organic and Industrial Chemistry of University of Parma. Incorporated in early
2003, it is committed to the development, production and commercialization of Products and
Services based on the so-called "Artificial Olfactory System" (SOA) technology,
in order to answer specific requirements from its customers.
MISSION: "To develop and to Artificial Olfactory System solutions,
able to simulate the human perception, and guaranteeing stability and instrumental
reproduction.
To satisfy moreover the necessity of qualification and characterization of products from
the point of view of their Olfactory and Organoleptic Properties".

- Sider Sistem srl
Sider Sistem operates in Piombino (LI), close to the one of biggest industrial area for
steel production and processing in Italy, and produces measuring systems and tools for
continuous casting plants and systems.

Public Entities,
Organizations and Research Institutions
ISE keeps constant and close relationships with Public Entities and Organizations working
in the fields of Research, Technology Transfer, promotion of Innovation and Economic
Development in general, operating in the same area.
Maintaining continuous relationships with partners having an insitutional role in
complementary areas is a fundamental part of ISE strategy for a better exploitation of its
basic competences and capabilities. This enables to gather information from many

ISE undertakes collaborations with several Departments and Institutes of University of
Pisa. Among them, the Department of Information Technologies, the Centro Enrico
Piaggio, the Department of Physics. Activities are conducted both on a didactic and
on a technical level, with the activation of stages, training programmes, as well as
Research Contracts on specific subjects.

- University of Parma Organic & Industrial Chemistry Department
The Organic & Industrial Chemistry Department of University of Parma supported ISE for
the set up and validation of the ISENOSE Artificial Olfactory Device. Its long expertise
in the use of various Artificial Olfactory techniques was of the essence for the
definition of Instrumental Configurations, and for the set up and validation of the
operation protocols and conditions. ISE and the working group of Prof.Enrico Dal Canale at
University of Parma continuously undertake R&D activities aimed at improving the
existing tools and technologies.

- Scientific and Technological Area of Navacchio (Cascina-Pisa)
The so-called Polo Scientifico e Tecnologico di Navacchio is an integrated
infrastructure promoted by Comune di Cascina and Provincia di Pisa, with the support of
European Commission and of the Italian Government, aimed at facilitating the localization
and development of small industries in the area.
ISE cooperates with Polo di Navacchio both on specific projects for industrial
development and technological research, and for supporting and promoting contacts and
collaborations among small industries in the area.
